On November 15, 2025, the GIZ Ghana achieved a significant milestone by officially launching the Ghanaian Diaspora Women Network (GDWN) and handing over the Strategic Framework for Engaging the Ghanaian Diaspora in Germany at an event in Hamburg. The GPSG eV played a pivotal role, underscoring its commitment to advancing Ghanaian development initiatives abroad.
GPSG eV’s Key Role in Shaping Initiatives
GPSG eV was among the selected Ghanaian-related organisations invited to the launch, recognising its extensive engagement in the formation and development of both key initiatives:
- Ghanaian Diaspora Women Network (GDWN): Members Dr Priscilla Koduah and Ms Sandra Ayeh of GPSG eV actively participated in the preceding online activities that helped shape the Network’s structure and goals.
- Strategic Framework for Engaging the Ghanaian Diaspora in Germany: Dr Daniel Opoku, Dr Kwasi Addo, and Dr Theodore Asimeng of GPSG eV contributed valuable insights and participated in consultations that helped finalise this important strategic document.
Representation at the Hamburg Launch
The GPSG eV was officially represented at the high-profile launch event by two Master’s students, highlighting the group’s dedication to youth and professional development:
- Enoch Nii Dodoo worked as an IT Support Specialist with the Ghana Army and is pursuing a Master’s programme in Data Analytics/AI and Digital Business in Germany
- Eric Anloga previously worked as a Communication Engineering Instructor, Digital Forensic and Intelligence Specialist for the Ghana Army, and is now pursuing a Master’s in Information Technology in Germany.

They were pictured alongside H.E. Prof. Ohene Adjei, Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany, signifying the strong relationship between the Ghanaian Embassy and diaspora organisations.
The participation of GPSG eV members at every level of development and at the official launch solidifies the organisation’s status as a key partner in diaspora-focused development and collaboration.
